Fleming Mackell
Fleming David Mackell (April 30, 1929 – October 19, 2015) was a Canadian ice hockey forward who played with two Stanley Cup winners in his 13-season National Hockey League career. Playing career After a stage with St-Michaels, the Toronto Maple Leafs OHA affiliate, Mackell began his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1948. The majority of it was spent with the Boston Bruins, with whom he would retire following the 1960 season. Mackell won Stanley Cups with the Maple Leafs in 1949 and 1951. After his second Stanley Cup success, Mackell was traded by Toronto to the Boston Bruins in return for young defenceman Jim Morrison. In Boston, he attained NHL First All Star Team status for the 1952–53 season, at the position of center, playing on a line composed of Ed Sanford and Johnny Peirson. Mackell also won the Elizabeth C. Paul Ronty (July 12, 1928 – April 22, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre. Ronty started his National Hockey League career with the Boston Bruins in 1947. Tim Horton
Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton (January 12, 1930 – February 21, 1974) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played 24 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. In 2017, Horton was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history. He died following a single-vehicle crash in 1974 caused by driving while intoxicated at the age of 44. A successful businessman, Horton was the co-founder of the Tim Hortons restaurant chain. Kenneth "Kenny" Mosdell (July 13, 1922 – January 5, 2006) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward. Don Raleigh
James Donald Raleigh (June 27, 1926 – August 21, 2012) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played centre with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League between 1943 and 1956. Playing career Raleigh played most of his career in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers, playing a total of 535 regular season games. He made his debut for the Rangers during the 1943-44 NHL season as a seventeen-year-old. Throughout his career he was known by the nickname 'Bones' because of his 150-pound frame. On February 25, 1948, against the Chicago Black Hawks he became the first player in Rangers history to score four goals in a single game. Ed Sandford
Edward Michael Sandford (born August 20, 1928) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. He played most of his professional career for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Playing career Sandford played his junior hockey for the St. Michael's Majors program, leading his team to the Memorial Cup playoffs in 1946 and 1947. In 1947, Sandford led the Ontario Hockey Association with 67 points in 27 games, adding 52 points in nine OHA playoffs and ten Memorial Cup games en route to St. Michael's third Memorial Cup title. For his efforts, he was awarded the Red Tilson Trophy as the OHA's most valuable player. Sandford was signed by the Bruins in 1947. Theodore Samuel "Teeder" Kennedy (December 12, 1925 – August 14, 2009) was a professional ice hockey centre who played his entire career with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1943 to 1957 and was captain for eight seasons. Along with Turk Broda, he was the first player in NHL history to win five Stanley Cups, and he was the last Maple Leaf to win the Hart Trophy for most valuable player, until Auston Matthews in 2022. Hubert George Quackenbush (March 2, 1922 – September 12, 1999), known as Bill Quackenbush, was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played for the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League. During his 14-year career, he was the first defenceman to win the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. He won the award after playing the entire 1948–49 season without recording a penalty. The penalty-less season was part of a total of 131 consecutive games he played without being assessed a penalty. Harry Howell (ice Hockey)
Henry Vernon Howell (December 28, 1932 – March 9, 2019) was a Canadian professional hockey player and longtime star for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played in the NHL and then the World Hockey Association (WHA) between 1952 and 1976. After his playing career Howell briefly worked as a coach in both leagues, as well as the general manager of the Cleveland Barons in the NHL during the 1977–78 season.
