The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic ( az, Əmək və Əhalinin Sosial Müdafiəsi Nazirliyi) is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the labour markets and ensuring social protection of the population of Azerbaijan. The ministry was headed by Salim Muslumov until 2018. Current minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is Sahil Babayev. He is appointed to this position based on presidential decree dated 21 April 2018. Zakir Hasanov
Zakir Asker oghlu Hasanov (; born 6 June 1959) is an Azerbaijani politician and colonel general who has been the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan since 2013. Early life and education He was born on 6 June 1959 in the Astara District. He graduated from the Baku High Army Commanders School in 1980 as an artillery officer before serving for five years in the Soviet Armed Forces Units in East Germany. Afterwards, he spent the next eight years at the Altay military registration and enlistment office of the Siberian Military District as part of the Ministry of Defence of the USSR. Anar Gabil oghlu Karimov ( az, Anar Qabil oğlu Kərimov, 3 June 1977) is an Azerbaijani politician who currently serves as Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Biography Anar Karimov was born on June 3, 1977 in Fuzuli District. In 1998 he received his bachelor's degree in the Arabic language and philology from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University, and in 2003 he received his master's degree in international relations and diplomacy from the Faculty of International Relations of Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan Republic ( az, Azərbaycan Respublikasının Maliyyə Nazirliyi) is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the financial sector in Azerbaijan Republic. The ministry is headed by Samir Sharifov. History The office of Minister of Finance was established on May 18, 1918, when Azerbaijan Democratic Republic declared independence. The Minister of Finance was one of members of the first cabinet. The Ministry of Finance itself, however, was formally established on October 21, 1918. With incorporation of Azerbaijan into USSR, the Ministry of Finance was subdued to Soviet Ministry of Finances. Samir Rauf oghlu Sharifov ( az, Samir Rauf oğlu Şərifov; born 7 September 1961) is an Azerbaijani politician serving as the Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan Republic. Early life Sharifov was born on 7 September 1961. In 1983, he graduated from Kiev State University with a Master's degree in International Economic Relations. In 1983-1991, he worked for Soviet governmental organizations dealing with international economic relations and was based first in Baku, then in Yemen. Political career In 1991-1995, Sharifov worked as Deputy Chief of Department of International Economic Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
