The 8mm/92 x 27 mm R'', officially designated as 8 mm Lebel by the C.I.P., is a rimmed cartridge used in the 8mm M1892 revolver and inexpensive handguns manufactured in Belgium and Spain. These are usually copies of the ''Modèle d'Ordonnance'' revolver itself or of then reputable foreign firearms (Colt Police Positive, Nagant M1895, Rast & Gasser M1898 or S&W Model 10). Its dimensions are close to those of the 8mm Gasser. Its bullet is cylindro-ogival and is of the jacketed type. Its power is comparable to that of the original 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP). The 8×68mm S rebated rim bottlenecked centerfire rifle cartridge was developed in the 1930s by August Schüler of the ''August Schüler Waffenfabrik, Suhl, Germany'' as a magnum hunting cartridge that would just fit and function in standard-sized Mauser 98 bolt-action rifles. The bore has the same lands and grooves diameters as the German 7.92×57mm Mauser service cartridge (designated as "S-bore"). The .32 Winchester Self-Loading (also called .32SL, .32SLR, or .32WSL) is an American rifle cartridge. Description Winchester introduced the .32SL and .35SL cartridges in the Winchester Model 1905 self-loading rifle, a centerfire version of the Winchester Model 1903. The .32SL never gained popularity as a hunting cartridge, although it may be suitable for the largest small game such as fox and coyote at ranges under 150 yards. Both the .32SL and .35SL were soon superseded by the introduction of the more powerful .351SL in the Winchester Model 1907. When first introduced, however, the notable firearm expert Townsend Whelen noted the .32SL cartridge as displaying similar ballistics as the .32-40 Winchester black powder, low-pressure cartridge.
