7th Parliament Of Kazakhstan
The Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the 7th convocation is the 7th and current legislative term of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. The term convened at its first session on 15 January 2021, after which the following legislative elections where held on 10 January 2021 where 98 members of the Mazhilis were elected based on the party-list proportional representation, while the 9 seats were reserved to the members elected by the Assembly of People on 11 January. Parliament Of Kazakhstan
The Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( kk, Қазақстан Республикасының Парламенті, Qazaqstan Respublikasynyñ Parlamentı; rus, Парламент Республики Казахстан, r=Parliament Respubliki Kazakhstan) is the bicameral legislature of Kazakhstan. The lower house is the Mazhilis, with 107 seats, (98 seats are from party lists, 9 – from Assembly of People) which are elected to five-year terms. The upper house is the Senate, which has 47 members. The People's Party of Kazakhstan ( abbr. QHP),, NPK originally the Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan (QKHP),, KNPK is a left-wing political party in Kazakhstan, currently led by Ermūhamet Ertısbaev. The Secretaries of the Central Committee are Turgyn Syzdyqov, Gauhar Nugmanova, Viktor Smirnov and Jambyl Ahmetbekov. The party was registered on 21 June 2004. Aiqyn Oiratuly Qongyrov (; born 28 November 1972) is a Kazakh politician who is serving as a member of the Mazhilis since 2012. He was the chairman of the People's Party of Kazakhstan (QHP) from 11 November 2020 before being succeeded by Ermūhamet Ertısbaev on 27 March 2022 and was the party's secretary from 2013 to 2020. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (; ) is a national political body in Kazakhstan consisting of delegates of the Regional Assemblies of the People.
