Air Libya is a privately owned charter airline based in Benghazi, Libya. It was established in 1996 as Tibesti Air Libya, and was initially based in Tripoli. The company now operates charter flights in support of oil field operations, as well as providing some scheduled and "ad hoc" charter services. Mercury KG-7Q Super 10 Hurricane
Mercury Super 10 Hurricane is an outboard motor built by Kiekhaefer Mercury during the years of 1950 through 1952. History and development In 1950 Mercury engineers came out with the Super 10 Hurricane, Model KG-7. This motor was based on previous models KE-7 Lightning and KF-7 Super 10 Lightning. Upgrades included redesigned connecting rods, upgraded aluminum clamp and swivel brackets, a new higher RPM magneto, improved porting, an 8 Reed valve cage (as opposed to KE-7 and KF-7's 4) and larger crankcase opening. Hurricane was also advertised at 10 hp*, way below the actual horsepower developed, Mercury noted this asterisk by stating that horsepower varies with Revolutions per minute, rpm; really the Hurricane could deliver up to 18 hp. Qumran Caves
Qumran Caves are a series of caves, both natural and artificial, found around the archaeological site of Qumran in the Judaean Desert. It is in these caves that the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Israel Nature and Parks Authority took over the site following the end of the 1967 war, when Israel occupied the West Bank and seized Qumran. Israel has since invested heavily in the area to establish the Qumran caves as a site of "uniquely Israeli Jewish heritage". The caves are recognized in Israel as a National Heritage Site, despite the caves being in occupied Palestinian territories; as such, the designation has drawn criticism. History The limestone cliffs above Qumran contain numerous caves that have been used over the millennia: the first traces of occupation are from the Chalcolithic period then onward to the Arab period.
