75th Year Of Independence Day Of India
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav or 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence was an event, in which the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of India was celebrated in India and abroad. It was ''76th Independence Day'' of India. Summary The Government of India decided to celebrate the 75 years of Independence of India, with tribute to people instrumental in bringing India thus far in its journey, in the spirit of Self-reliant India. It is the initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence from British Raj and the history of India's people, culture and achievements. The commemoration is to be celebrated through a series of events organized by the Government of India. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi inaugurated the celebration on 12 March 2021 with a 'Padyatra' (march) at Sabarmati Ashram with a 75-week countdown to its 75th anniversary of independence and it will continue till 2023 ending on 15th August 2023. "" (Sanskrit: जन गण मन) is the national anthem of the Republic of India. It was originally composed as '' Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata'' in Bengali by polymath Rabindranath Tagore. The first stanza of the song ''Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata'' was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the National Anthem on 24 January 1950. Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is a national memorial day in India on 14 August, first declared by prime minister Narendra Modi in 2021, that commemorates the victims and sufferings of people during the partition of India. The day remembers the sufferings of many Indians during the partition. Several families were displaced and many lost their lives in the partition. It aims to remind Indians the need to remove social divisions, disharmony and to further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment. Sabarmati Ashram (also known as Gandhi Ashram) is located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, adjoining the Ashram Road, on the banks of the River Sabarmati, from the town hall.
