''71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance'' (german: 71 Fragmente einer Chronologie des Zufalls) is a 1994 Austrian drama film directed by Michael Haneke. It has a fragmented storyline as the title suggests, and chronicles several seemingly unrelated stories in parallel, but these separate narrative lines intersect in an incident at the end of the film. The film is set in Vienna from October to December 1993. Haneke refers to ''71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance'' as the last part of his "glaciation trilogy", the other parts of which are his preceding two films '' The Seventh Continent'' and '' Benny's Video''. Plot The film opens with intertitles which introduce the mass killing in detail. It then chronicles in flashbacks the previous few months of several people in Vienna. Michael Haneke
Michael Haneke (; born 23 March 1942) is an Austrian film director and screenwriter. His work often examines social issues and depicts the feelings of estrangement experienced by individuals in modern society. Haneke has made films in French, German, and English and has worked in television and theatre, as well as cinema. He also teaches film direction at the Film Academy Vienna. His directorial debut, '' The Seventh Continent'', won the Bronze Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival in 1989. He later won the Grand Prix at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival for '' The Piano Teacher'' and the Best Director Award for '' Caché'' at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. 1993 Child Sexual Abuse Accusations Against Michael Jackson
In 1993, Evan Chandler, a dentist and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, accused the American singer Michael Jackson of sexually abusing his 13-year-old son, Jordan Chandler. Jackson had befriended Jordan after renting a vehicle from Jordan's stepfather. Though Evan Chandler initially encouraged the friendship, he later confronted his ex-wife, who had custody of Jordan, with suspicions that the relationship was inappropriate. Chandler wanted to resolve the issue with a financial settlement, but he and Jackson could not agree on an amount. In July, Jordan told a psychiatrist and police that Jackson had sexually abused him, triggering an investigation. Klaus Händl (born September 17, 1969) is an Austrian actor, writer and director. Biography Händl was born in Rum, Tyrol, Austria. He started his theater career as an actor in Vienna's Schauspielhaus.
