The 707th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (707 ISRG) is a unit of the United States Air Force 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing located at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. The group is the largest group in the 70th ISR Wing with more than 1,900 personnel executing both Air Force and National Security Agency missions. Intelligence provided by the group's men and women serves customers such as the President, Secretary of Defense, Combatant Commanders and warfighters on the ground engaged in worldwide operations, including the War in Afghanistan (2001-2021). Initially established as the Air Force (USAF) Security Group in June, 1948, the USAF Security Service (USAFSS) was activated as a major command on Oct 20, 1948 (For redesignations, see Successor units.)
