7 Balfour Place
7 and 8 Balfour Place are a pair of Grade II listed houses in Balfour Place, Mayfair, London W1, on the corner with Mount Street. No 7 is also known as Balfour House. 7 and 8 Balfour Place were Grade II listed in 1984. They were built in 1892–1894 by Eustace Balfour and Hugh Thackeray Turner of Balfour and Turner, in a "Free Style with Flemish and early Renaissance details" , or in an Arts and Crafts style. The house's first owner was George Coventry, 9th Earl of Coventry. Balfour Place was originally known as Portugal Street (honouring the Portuguese wife of King Charles II), until the Grosvenor family renamed it after their chief surveyor. 7 Balfour Place In 1978, the heiress Christina Onassis, who owned a three-bedroom flat in nearby Reeves Mews, flew in to London for a one-day shopping tour, amid considerable press interest. The Process Church Of The Final Judgment
The Process Church of the Final Judgment, also known as the Process Church, was a British religious group established in 1966 and disestablished in the 1970s. Its founders were the English couple Mary Ann MacLean and Robert de Grimston, who spread the group's practices across parts of the United Kingdom and United States in the late 1960s and early 1970s. While relying heavily on tenets of Christianity, scholars of religion have classified it as a form of Satanism because of its expanded belief system. MacLean and de Grimston initially met as members of the Church of Scientology in the early 1960s; the duo were ejected from the Church in 1962 and married the following year. Robert de Grimston (also known as Robert Moor and The Teacher; born 10 August 1935) is a British occultist who was founder of The Process Church of The Final Judgment (popularly referred to as The Process) in the 1960s. He was born in Shanghai, China. Created in partnership with Mary Ann MacLean (known as "The Oracle" in the Process Church), they met while they were members of the Church of Scientology in London. The Process held that God is made of four separate parts equally worthy of worship — Jehovah, Christ, Lucifer and Satan — and that a person must worship all four in succession to gain enlightenment.
