7548 Engström
7548 Engström, provisional designation , is dark Themistian asteroid from the outer region of the asteroid belt, approximately 9 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 16 March 1980, by Swedish astronomer Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist at European Southern Observatory, ESO's La Silla Observatory site in northern Chile. The asteroid was later named after Swedish artist Albert Engström. Classification and orbit ''Engström'' is a member of the Themis family, a dynamical family of Kirkwood gap, outer-belt asteroids with nearly coplanar ecliptic, ecliptical orbits. It orbits the Sun at a distance of 2.6–3.6 Astronomical unit, AU once every 5 years and 7 months (2,037 days). Its orbit has an orbital eccentricity, eccentricity of 0.16 and an orbital inclination, inclination of 0Degree (angle), ° with respect to the ecliptic. The asteroid's observation arc begins with its official discovery observation at La Silla. Physical characteristics ''Engström'' is an assumed car ...

Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist
Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist (born 1944) is a Swedish astronomer at the Uppsala Astronomical Observatory. He is known for his work on the shapes and spin properties of minor planets. He has discovered three comets, P/1996 R2, C/1996 R3 and 308P/Lagerkvist-Carsenty. He has also discovered a number of asteroids, including the Trojan asteroid (37732) 1996 TY68. Asteroid 2875 Lagerkvist, discovered February 11, 1983 by Edward L. G. Bowell of the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search (LONEOS) was a project designed to discover asteroids and comets that orbit near the Earth. The project, funded by NASA, was directed by astronomer Ted Bowell of Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizo ... (LONEOS), was named in his honour.
