69th Bodil Awards
The 69th Bodil Awards were held on 5 March 2016 in the Bremen Theater in Copenhagen, Denmark, honoring the best national and foreign films of 2015. On 11 February 2016 it was announced that 75-year-old Danish-French actress Anna Karina would receive the 2016 Bodil Honorary Award as "one of the most iconic" actresses of the French New Wave. '' Land of Mine'' directed by Martin Zandvliet was the big winner at the Awards: It won the Best Danish Film Award, Roland Møller won his first Bodil Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role as Sgt. Carl Rasmussen in the film, while Louis Hofmann took home the statuette for Best Actor in a Supporting Role as a young German POW. Bodil Awards
The Bodil Awards are the major Danish film awards given by the Danish Film Critics Association. The awards are presented annually at a ceremony in Copenhagen. Established in 1948, it is one of the oldest film awards in Europe. The awards are given without regard to commercial interests or box-office sales, but rather to highlight the films or actors that the critics regard as most worthy. The name of the award honours two of the most important actresses in Danish cinema, Bodil Kjer and Bodil Ipsen. The statuette is made of porcelain, and was designed by Danish artist and sculpted by Svend Jespersen of Bing & Grøndahl. The Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role ( da, Bodilprisen for bedste kvindelige hovedrolle) is one of the merit categories presented by the Danish Film Critics Association at the annual Bodil Awards. Created in 1948, it is one of the oldest film awards in Europe, and it honours the best performance by an actress in a leading role in a Danish produced film. Pilou Asbæk
Johan Philip "Pilou" Asbæk (; born 2 March 1982) is a Danish actor. He is known for his role as troubled spin doctor Kasper Juul in the Danish television political drama ''Borgen'', and as Euron Greyjoy in the television series ''Game of Thrones''. Early life Asbæk was born in Copenhagen, the son of gallery owners Maria Patricia (''née'' Tonn) and Jacob A. Asbæk, who run Galerie Asbæk in Copenhagen. His mother was born in Casablanca, Morocco, to a Danish father and a French mother. His father is from Hammel. He has two older brothers, Thomas Asbæk, an art consultant at Asbæk Art Consulting, and Martin Asbæk, a gallery owner at Martin Asbæk Gallery. Ulrich Thomsen (born 6 December 1963) is a Danish actor and filmmaker, known for his role of Kai Proctor in the Cinemax original series ''Banshee'' (2013-2016). Biography Ulrich Thomsen was born in (Næsby) Odense, Denmark and graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in 1993, after which he performed in several theatres in Copenhagen, such as Dr. Dantes Aveny, Mungo Park and Østre Gasværks Teater. Joachim (; ''Yəhōyāqīm'', "he whom Yahweh has set up"; ; ) was, according to Christian tradition, the husband of Saint Anne and the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
