6th Central Committee Of The Workers' Party Of Korea
The 6th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was elected by the 6th Congress on 14 October 1980, and remained in session until the election of the 7th Central Committee on 9 May 2016. The Central Committee composition was replenished by the 3rd WPK Conference. In between party congresses and specially convened conferences the Central Committee is the highest decision-making institution in the WPK and North Korea. The Central Committee is not a permanent institution and delegates day-to-day work to elected bodies, such as the Presidium, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Military Commission and the Control Commission in the case of the 6th Central Committee. It convenes meetings, known as "Plenary Session of the ermCentral Committee", to discuss major policies. Only full members have the right to vote, but if a full member cannot attend a plenary session, the person's spot is taken over by an alternate. Kim Chol-man
Kim Chol-man (김철만; 2 November 1920 – 3 December 2018) was a North Korean politician and military official. He was a member of several important committees and organizations, including the 6th Central Military Commission, the 6th Politburo, and the Second Economic Committee. He was at the forefront of the North Korean munitions industry, the country's economic base (see Songun). In old age Kim was no longer considered a major player in North Korean politics, having retired from most of his important posts. Kim Hwan ( ko, 김환; 1929-May 2009) was a North Korean politician and technocrat who served as a Vice Premier of North Korea. Biography He was born in 1929 in Kimhyongjik County, Ryanggang Province, a son of partisan Kim Hyuk, and the son-in-law of Kim Il. After graduating from Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, he went on to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at Kim Il-sung University and studied in East Germany, graduating from the Karl Marx Institute of Technology under the University of Leipzig After returning to Korea, he served as a researcher at the Institute of Chemical Industry of the Ministry of Heavy Industry in 1961 and moved to Hamhung Institute of Technology in 1963 as an assistant professor of analytical chemistry. Hyon Mu-gwang ( ko, 현무광, 1913 - March 1992) was a North Korean politician, deputy prime minister of the State Administration of Government, member of the of North Korea and chairman of the National Audit Committee. Biography Hyon Mu-gwang was born in Hongyuan County, south-central South Hamgyong Province. In his early years, he worked as a worker in a factory in Seoul. Jon Mun-sop (November 24, 1919 – December 29, 1998) was a North Korean politician, member of the Supreme People's Assembly, the unicameral parliament of North Korea. Ri Kun-mo
Ri Kun-mo, also translated as Ri Gun-mo (5 April 1926 – 2001) was a North Korean politician. He was Prime Minister from 29 December 1986 to 12 December 1988, when he was replaced, reportedly due to poor health. He succeeded Kang Song-san. His successor was Yon Hyong-muk.
