57th New Brunswick Legislative Assembly
The 57th New Brunswick Legislative Assembly was created following a general election in 2010. Its members were sworn-in on October 12, 2010, it held its first meeting October 27, 2010, to elect a speaker, and it was officially opened on November 23, 2010, with a speech from the throne. It was dissolved on Thursday, August 21, 2014, with an election called for September 22, 2014. Leadership Dale Graham was elected speaker on October 27, 2010. David Alward was the Premier of New Brunswick. The government house leader was Paul Robichaud. The parliamentary opposition was provided by Liberals leader Brian Gallant. Donald Arseneault
Donald Arseneault (born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick) is a New Brunswick politician. He is the former Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for the riding of Dalhousie-Restigouche East. At the time one of the youngest members of the legislature, Arseneault worked in the civil service before being elected in the 2003 election. He was named to the opposition shadow cabinet following the election as critic for both the Office of Human Resources and the Department of Intergovernmental and International Relations. He was elected caucus chair in 2004 and was shuffled to be critic for tourism in early 2005. He was re-elected in 2006 and his party formed the government and he became Minister of Natural Resources. Fundy–The Isles–Saint John West (french: Fundy–Les-Îles–Saint-Jean-Ouest) is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. History It was created as Charlotte-The Isles in 2006 as a result of a merger of the old district of Charlotte with the district of Fundy Isles less Campobello Island which moved from Fundy Isles to the new Charlotte-Campobello district. Charlotte-Campobello
Saint Croix is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. The district includes the Town of St. Stephen and the Town of St. Andrews. It was created as Western Charlotte in 1994 by merging the old districts of Charlotte West and St. Stephen-Milltown save for Deer Island and Campobello Island which became part of Fundy Isles, the rather atypical name of "Western Charlotte" was chosen to prevent confusion with the old smaller district of "Charlotte West". The riding also added a small piece of territory from Charlotte Centre. In 2006, the district again added Campobello Island and the name was changed from Western Charlotte to Charlotte-Campobello. Centre-Péninsule-Saint-Sauveur is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. Denis Landry
Denis Landry (born November 13, 1957) is the Mayor-elect of Hautes-Terre and a former MLA and Leader of the Opposition in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1995 and re-elected in 2003, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2020. He was defeated in his first bid for re-election in 1999.
