Catalan Film Academy
The Catalan Film Academy (''Acadèmia del Cinema Català'', in Catalan) is a non-profit organization located in Barcelona created to recognize Catalan film productions and professionals, with the objective of being a voice of the Catalan film industry. Jordi Dauder
Jordi Dauder i Guardiola (5 March 1938 – 16 September 2011) was a Spanish actor. Dauder was a veteran actor with a prolific career that includes over a hundred films, plays and television series. He developed to the immense majority of his work in France, where he appeared as actor in productions different from theatre, simultaneously that was taking part in the different political organizations. After graduating in Arts at the University of Barcelona and History at the University of Paris, where he had to emigrate for political reasons. Roser Aguilar (born 1971) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. Biography Roser Aguilar earned a licentiate in journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a degree in film direction from the Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC), as part of the school's first graduating class. Lucas Vidal
Lucas Vidal (born 1984) is a two time Goya Award winning Spanish composer, conducting, conductor, and record producer. Vidal became the youngest Berklee College of Music student ever to compose and record the score to a feature film with a full orchestra, and he is best known for composing the score for the 2013 film ''Fast & Furious 6''. Life Lucas Vidal was born and grew up in Madrid. His father is also a musician and his grandfather was one of the founders of the record company Hispavox. He began studying piano and flute at age 4. Bebo Valdés
Dionisio Ramón Emilio Valdés Amaro (October 9, 1918 – March 22, 2013), better known as Bebo Valdés, was a Cuban pianist, bandleader, composer and arranger. He was a central figure in the golden age of Cuban music, especially due to his big band arrangements and compositions of mambo, chachachá and batanga, a genre he created in 1952. He was the director of the Radio Mil Diez house band and the Tropicana Club orchestra, before forming his own big band, Orquesta Sabor de Cuba, in 1957. However, after the end of the Cuban Revolution, in 1960, Bebo left his family behind and went into exile in Mexico before settling in Sweden, where he remarried. His musical hiatus lasted until 1994, when a collaboration with Paquito D'Rivera brought him back into the music business. Reyes Abades (25 July 1949 – 1 February 2018) was a Spanish specialist in special effects. He won nine Goya Awards. Abades worked on more than 300 productions. Sergi Belbel i Coslado (; born 1963) is a catalan-speaking Spanish playwright. He was the director of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya from 2006 until 2013. Career Born in Terrassa, Belbel's first play was ''Calidoscopios y faros de hoy'' in 1986. He became well known with his play ''Carícies'' ("Caresses") in 1992. Fernando Rodríguez Trueba (born 18 January 1955), known as Fernando Trueba, is a Spanish book editor, screenwriter, film director and producer. Between 1974 and 1979, he worked as a film critic for Spain's leading daily newspaper '' El País''. Francisco Javier Errando Mariscal (born 9 February 1950) better known as Javier Mariscal is a Spanish artist and designer whose work has spanned a wide range of mediums, ranging from painting and sculpture to interior design and landscaping. He was born in February 1950 in the city of Valencia, Spain, into a family of eleven brothers and sisters. Since 1970, he has been living and working in Barcelona.
