4 Man Show
The ''4 Man Show'' was a Pakistani television series that aired on Aaj TV on Sundays at 8:00 PM. It made its debut on TV in 2005 and is currently on a hiatus since November 2013. Content The ''4 Man Show'' revolves around a fictitious, parody TV channel by the name of, Channel 4. The show is heavy on news channel satire, especially so on the way interviews are conducted on these channels. The show has mock segments pertaining to news bulletins, on-field reporting and celebrity interviews which are based on the 4-member cast's ability to conduct parodies of a large number of diverse people including news-casters, politicians, television celebrities and sportspeople. The show also raises issues of media freedom, sexism, terrorism, corruption and sectarianism in an off-hand manner. ''Banana News Network'' or ''BNN'' was a Pakistani TV show that was broadcast on GEO TV on Tuesdays at 11:05pm. It originally starred Murtaza Chaudhry and his team who were formerly part of ''4 Man Show'' on Aaj TV. Concept ''BNN'' puts a comical spin on the happenings in Pakistan. It is a fictitious channel in which celebrities are mocked. The show has segments such as Sports Desk, News Room and Central Studio discussion. Celebrities mocked most often include Mirza Iqbal Baig, Ansar Abbasi and politicians. The main difference between ''BNN'' and other comedy Pakistani shows is that only four cast members are employed and they dress up as different celebrities on each show. Geo Television Network is a television channel based in Pakistan. It was established in May 2002 and is owned by the Jang Media Group. The channel began its test transmission on 14 August 2002, with regular transmission beginning on 1 October 2002. History Geo Network was founded in May 2002 by Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman. It started out with the launch of its flagship channel Geo News in October 2002. Hamid Mir joined the channel and became one of the first journalists to join Geo News. He started hosting the political talk show Capital Talk which is the flagship show of Geo News.
