47th GMA Dove Awards
The 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards presentation ceremony was held on October 11, 2016 at the Allen Arena located in Nashville, Tennessee on the campus of Lipscomb University. The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of musicians and other figures within the Christian music industry for the year 2015/2016. The ceremony was produced by the Trinity Broadcasting Network and was hosted by musicians For King & Country and Tye Tribbett. The awards show was broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network on Sunday October 16, 2016. Performers The show featured the first performance of DC Talk after a 15-year hiatus. Allen Arena
Allen Arena is an List of indoor arenas, indoor arena at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The arena was named in honor of James C. and Linda Allen, the facility's primary benefactors. James Allen is a member of the board of trustees for the university and worked for the university at one time. Joel Houston
Joel Timothy Houston (born 19 September 1979) is an Australian musician, songwriter, pastor, and leader in the Sydney-based band Hillsong United, a worship band of Hillsong Church. He was co-pastor at Hillsong NYC between 2010 and 2017. He is the head of the Christian worship band Hillsong United, for which he sings, plays guitar, and writes songs.
