47th Mechanized Brigade
The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura" () is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2022. Name In Slavic mythology, the name is interpreted as the daughter of Perun, the god of thunder and lightning along with war and warriors. History The unit was formed during the Russo-Ukrainian War. The unit was originally called the 47th Assault Battalion, and was created under the leadership of Captain Ivan Shalamaga, who at the time held the position of deputy commander in the 30th Mechanized Brigade; and reconnaissance officer Valery Markus. After its official establishment on April 26, the battalion underwent training before being deployed to the Vuhlehirskaya area near Bakhmut, participating in the Battle of Bakhmut. Operational Command North
Operational Command North is a command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in northern Ukraine. It was formed in 2013 from the Operation Command West, Western Operational Command and Territorial Directorate North by reforming the 13th Army Corps (Ukraine), 13th Army Corps. The operation command traces its history back to Territorial Directorate "North", which was created on the basis of Northern Territorial Operational Command by Directive No.322/1/010 of the Ministry of Defence (Ukraine)#List of Ministers of Defence, Minister of Defence of Ukraine on 20 May 2005. The Leopard 2 is a 3rd generation main battle tank originally developed by Krauss-Maffei in the 1970s for the West German army. BMP-1
The BMP-1 is a Soviet amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle, in service 1966–present. BMP stands for ''Boyevaya Mashina Pyekhoty 1'' (russian: link=no, Боевая Машина Пехоты 1; БМП-1), meaning "infantry fighting vehicle, 1st serial model". The BMP-1 was the first mass-produced infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Soviet Union. It was called the M-1967, BMP and BMP-76PB by NATO before its correct designation was known.
