3rd Street, Los Angeles
__NOTOC__ 3rd Street in Los Angeles is a major east–west thoroughfare. The west end is in downtown Beverly Hills by Santa Monica Boulevard, and the east is at Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles, where it shares a one-way couplet with 4th Street. East of Alameda it becomes 4th Street, where it heads to East Los Angeles, where it turns back into 3rd Street upon crossing Indiana Street. 3rd Street eventually becomes Pomona Boulevard in Monterey Park, where it then turns into Potrero Grande Drive and finally turns into Rush Street in Rosemead and ends in El Monte. 3rd Street passes along the south side of The Grove and "The Original" Farmers Market at Fairfax Avenue, near the headquarters of The Writers Guild of America, West. The New York City borough of Manhattan contains 214 numbered east–west streets ranging from 1st to 228th, the majority of them designated in the Commissioners' Plan of 1811. These streets do not run exactly east–west, because the grid plan is aligned with the Hudson River, rather than with the cardinal directions. Thus, the majority of the Manhattan grid's "west" is approximately 29 degrees north of true west; the angle differs above 155th Street, where the grid initially ended. Third Street is a north–south street in San Francisco, California, running through the Downtown, Mission Bay, Potrero Point, Dogpatch, and Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhoods. The road turns into Kearny Street north of Market Street and connects into Bayshore Boulevard south of Meade Avenue. It was formerly called Kentucky Street in the Dogpatch and Railroad Avenue in the Bayview. Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants play at Oracle Park on the intersection Third and King. The majority of the street is served by the T Third Street light rail line. It was the first new light rail line in San Francisco in more than half a century, and the first fully accessible line in the system. The T Third Street is a Muni Metro light rail line in San Francisco, California. It runs along the east side of San Francisco — primarily in the median of Third Street — from to the Market Street subway. It is interlined with the K Ingleside line, forming a single service running between Sunnydale and . The line serves 21 surface stations, all of which are accessible. Most of the surface portion of the line runs in dedicated median lanes, though two portions operate in mixed traffic. Construction of the line was proposed in the late 1980s as plans for the redevelopment of the Mission Bay neighborhood were established. Construction took place in the mid-2000s. Muni Metro is a light rail system serving San Francisco, California, United States. Operated by the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni), a part of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), Muni Metro served an average of 157,700 passengers per weekday in the fourth quarter of 2019, making it the second-busiest light rail system in the United States. N3RD Street (also N3rd Street, N3RD St, Nerd Street) is a nickname for a segment of North 3rd Street in Philadelphia, between Market Street and Girard Avenue (spanning across the neighborhoods of Old City and Northern Liberties), and its surrounding community that is home to a concentration of "nerdy" companies and spaces; "N3RD" is a double entendre as both leet for "nerd" and reflecting the "N. 3rd St." of postal addresses. Siglap
Siglap is a neighbourhood located in Bedok in the East Region of Singapore. The area also encompasses the Frankel and Opera Estates and their names have sometimes been used interchangeably to refer to the approximate same area. The planning subzone area of Siglap as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is confusingly and inaccurately referred to as the small strip of land between Victoria Junior College and Bedok South Avenue 1. It is a residential area where a majority live in landed homes such as freehold semi-detached houses and bungalows. Some of the land parcels near Siglap Centre have been redeveloped into serviced apartments and condominiums. The few Housing and Development Board flats in Siglap have been demolished in 2015 under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme.
