The Guldbagge for Best Actress in a Leading Role is a Swedish film award presented annually by the Swedish Film Institute (SFI) as part of the Guldbagge Awards (Swedish: "Guldbaggen") to actresses working in the Swedish motion picture industry. Bengt Idestam-Almquist
Bengt Idestam-Almquist (9 September 1895 – 16 September 1983) was a Swedish screenwriter, critic and film historian. The Swedish Film Institute calls him the "''father of Swedish film criticism''". At the 3rd Guldbagge Awards he won a Special Achievement award. He was a member of the jury at the 15th Venice International Film Festival in 1954. Idestam-Almquist, who was the son of a Riksvensk father and a Swedish-speaking Finn mother, was born in Turku, Finland, and grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire. He later fled to Sweden with his family during the February Revolution and studied art history in Uppsala. His fascination with film came after watching a silent film with a benshi while serving the Red Cross in Asia. He was awarded the Illis quorum in 1983. Christina Schollin
Christina Schollin (born Christina Alma Elisabet Schollin; 26 December 1937) is a Swedish actress. She is best known to international audiences mainly through her appearances in motion pictures, such as '' Dear John'', ''Song of Norway'' and Ingmar Bergman's ''Fanny and Alexander''. Thommy Berggren, né Tommy William Berggren (born 12 August 1937) is a Swedish actor. He is known for having starred in several films directed by Bo Widerberg, and was often considered one of the foremost Swedish film and theatre actors from the early 1960s to the mid-2000s when he retired. He starred in the Oscar nominated ''Raven's End'' (1963), directed by Widerberg. He also starred in the 1992 '' Sunday's Children'', which was directed by Daniel Bergman and written by Ingmar Bergman. Early life Berggren was born on 12 August 1937, in Mölndal, Sweden, an impoverished working class district. His father, a sailor by trade and a socialist, was supportive of and heavily involved with the worker's rights movement in Sweden.
