3kStatic is an electronica music group founded in 1998, consisting of Dean Capone, Jeremy Dickens, Justin Katz. History In 2004 they release the album ''Perversion: for Profit''; uses audio sampled from the 1965 propaganda film Perversion for Profit. The group's work was featured on the soundtrack of the new season of MTV's Real World. The band's subsequent release ''The Great Republic'' was released in 2005, and distributed by Cargo Records (Germany) The band's 2006 album release ''Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World'', and 2007 effort ''Voodoo Science'' were entry candidates (Best Electronic/Dance Album) for the 50th and 51st GRAMMY Awards, respectively. Kevin Max Smith (born August 17, 1967) is an American singer, songwriter, and poet. He is best known for being a member of the Christian pop group dc Talk. As a solo artist following the band going on hiatus, he has recorded 12 full-length studio albums, including a Christmas album. Department S are a British post-punk/ new wave band formed in 1980, who took their name from the 1960s TV series '' Department S''. They are best known for their debut single, "Is Vic There?", which was originally released in December 1980 and reached No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart the following year. Their last album, ''When All Is Said and All Is Done'', was released in 2016. Public Image Ltd (abbreviated and stylized as PiL) are an English post-punk band (and incorporated limited company) formed by singer John Lydon (previously known as the singer of Sex Pistols), guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, and drummer Jim Walker in May 1978. The group's personnel has changed frequently over the years; Lydon has been the sole constant member. Following Lydon's departure from the Sex Pistols in January 1978, he sought a more experimental "anti-rock" project and formed PiL. Chris Vrenna (born February 23, 1967 in Erie, Pennsylvania) is an American musician, producer, engineer, remixer, songwriter, programmer, and founder of the electronic band Tweaker. Vrenna played drums for the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails from 1989 until 1997, and was the keyboardist and drummer of the American rock band Marilyn Manson from 2004 until late 2011. As a member of Nine Inch Nails, Vrenna was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Career Vrenna is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania. KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. ''Perversion for Profit'' is a 1963 Eastmancolor propaganda film financed by Charles Keating through Citizens for Decent Literature and narrated by news reporter George Putnam. The film argues that sexually explicit materials corrupt young viewers and readers, leading to acts of violence and "perverted" attitudes regarding sex—including inclination toward homosexuality. Although ''Perversion for Profit'' was serious in its suggestion that pornography could erode the integrity of American culture, Peter L. Stein of the ''San Francisco Chronicle'' wrote in a 2003 review that it was "shrill and sometimes comical". Today, ''Perversion for Profit'' is in the public domain, and it has become popular on the Prelinger Archives website and on YouTube. As Peter L.
