''3'' is the third studio album by American blues rock band Buffalo Killers. It was released on August 2, 2011, on Alive Naturalsound Records. Of the first thousand vinyl copies, half were released on blue vinyl and the other half on purple. Critical reception In a review for AllMusic, critic reviewer Mark Deming wrote: "While there isn't much here that suggests a shameless rip-off of any artist in particular, ''3'' conjures up a sense of time and place with ease, and the loose, sun-burnt vibe of this music, fused with Andy's fluid but forceful guitar work, Zach's simple but effective basslines, and Joey Sebaali's colorful percussion work drifts between country-rock and hard rock in a way that suggests the strengths of both without hitching itself to either." Buffalo Killers are an American rock band comprising guitarist and vocalist Andrew Gabbard, bass guitarist and vocalist Zachary Gabbard and drummer Joseph Sebaali. The band was formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2006 following the dissolution of Thee Shams, of which the trio were members. Buffalo Killers were quickly signed by Alive Records and their self-titled debut album was released in October 2006; ''Buffalo Killers'' drew the attention of Chris Robinson, who invited the band to open a string of dates for The Black Crowes in 2007. Kelley Deal (born June 10, 1961) is an American musician and singer. She has been lead guitarist and co-vocalist of the alternative rock band The Breeders since 1992, and has formed her own side-projects with bands such as R. Ring and The Kelley Deal 6000. She is the identical twin sister of The Breeders' lead singer and former Pixies bassist and co-vocalist Kim Deal. In 2020, Deal joined the post-punk band Protomartyr in a touring capacity, after collaborating with the band on their 2018 EP, ''Consolation''.
