3DFlow, srl is an Italian software house operating in the field of Computer Vision and Image Processing. It was established in 2011 as a spin-off of the University of Verona and in 2012 it became a spin-off of the University of Udine. Most known for its photogrammetry software 3DF Zephyr that allows the user to automatically create 3D models starting with a random set of pictures, 3DFlow is also involved as a consulting company with other well known software house such as Activision and Quantel. Part of its technology has been made available for free such as 3DF Samantha and JLinkage which overall have been cited on more than 50 papers. 3DF Zephyr
3DF Zephyr is a commercial photogrammetry and 3D modeling software. Developed and marketed by the Italian software house 3DFLOW, 3DF Zephyr was first released in January 2014 and continuously updated since then. It's a complete photogrammetry pipeline software package that includes many post processing tools for post processing, measurements, 3D modeling and content creation. It allows 3D reconstruction from both photos or videos, by automatically extracting frames and selecting those most suitable for the computation. Although the software is a Windows only application, it has been reported as fully working on Linux with the aid of Wine. 3D Data Acquisition And Object Reconstruction
3D scanning is the process of analyzing a real-world object or environment to collect data on its shape and possibly its appearance (e.g. color). Quantel was a company based in the United Kingdom and founded in 1973 that designed and manufactured digital production equipment for the broadcast television, video production and motion picture industries.
