37th Bangladesh National Film Awards
The 37th National Film Awards, presented by Ministry of Information, Bangladesh to felicitate the best of Bangladeshi Cinema released in 2012. Prime Minister gave Awards to the hand of award winner in the National Film Awards 2012 ceremony at afternoon on 10 May 2014 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Dhaka. List of winners National Film Awards of 24 categories were given in this ceremony that night. Host and performance Actors Ferdous Ahmed and Moushumi anchored the cultural programme after the award distribution ceremony. The history of Bangladeshi film was presented through performances of songs including "Karar Oi Loho Kopat," "Aynate Oi Mukh Dekhbe Jokhon," "Are O Praner Raja," "Bimurto Ei Ratri Amar," "Ki Jadu Korila," "Bender Meye Jostna," "Ekatturer Maa Jononi" . Sabina Yasmin
Sabina Yasmin (born 4 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Bengali cinema. She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer a record 14 times. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs for films and over 10,000 songs in total. Yasmin was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Independence Day Award in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life Yasmin was born on 4 September 1953. Her father, Lutfar Rahman, worked in Provincial Civil Service of British Raj and her mother, Begum Mouluda Khatun, was a vocal artist who took lessons from the musician Ustaad Kader Baksh. Mahfuzur Rahman Khan
Mahfuzur Rahman Khan, aka, Mahfoozur Rahman Khan (10 May 1949 – 6 December 2019), was a Bangladeshi cinematographer having received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Cinematography a record breaking ten times during his career. Though he was also a film director, actor and producer, he was most famously remembered for working behind the camera in films directed by Humayun Ahmed and other legendary film makers including Shibli Sadik and Alamgir Kumkum.
