36th Filmfare Awards
The 36th Filmfare Awards were held in 1991. '' Dil'' and '' Ghayal'' led the ceremony with eight nominations each, followed by ''Aashiqui'' with seven nominations and '' Agneepath'' and ''Pratibandh'' with five nominations each. ''Ghayal'' won seven awards, including Best Film, Best Director (for Rajkumar Santoshi) and Best Actor (for Sunny Deol), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony. Madhuri Dixit won her first of four awards for Best Actress for her performance in ''Dil''. Ghayal (1990 Film)
''Ghayal'' () is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi (in his directorial debut) and produced by Dharmendra. The film stars Dharmendra's son Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri, Raj Babbar and Amrish Puri, with Moushumi Chatterjee, Annu Kapoor, Om Puri, Sharat Saxena and Sudesh Berry playing supporting roles. Mukul Anand
Mukul S. Anand (11 October 1951 – 7 September 1997) was an Indian film director and producer. He was the nephew of veteran film scriptwriter Inder Raj Anand and cousin of actor and director Tinnu Anand. Career Mukul S. Anand made his debut as a director with the suspense thriller ''Kanoon Kya Karega'' (1984), which was inspired by the Hollywood film '' Cape Fear''. His second film ''Aitbaar'' (1985) was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's classic ''Dial M for Murder''. ''Aaj Ka Arjun'' is a 1990 Hindi-language crime drama film, directed and produced by K.C. Bokadia and starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada. The film follows the crux of the epic Mahabharata, but with its modified storyline through the perspective of Bhima and Arjuna, a deviation from the Vyasa's original version of the epic Mahabharata The film was a hit and was the 3rd Highest-grossing film of 1990.
