350th Prakash Parv
The 350th Prakash Parv (also Prakash Utsav) or birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh ji was celebrated in January 2017 in Patna, India. 2017 is the year of the 350th anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, a spiritual master, warrior, poet and philosopher. Takht Sri Patna Sahib
Takhat Sri Patna Sahib also known as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, is a one of the five Takhats of the Sikhs, located in Patna, Bihar, India. The construction of the Takhat was commissioned by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 18th century to mark the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh. Due to the damages caused by an earthquake in 1934, the building was rebuilt between 1948 and 1957 for ₹20,00,000. The current acting jathedar of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib is Baldev Singh, who was appointed by Harpreet Singh, the acting jathedar of the Akal Takht on 2 December 2022. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, was born in Patna, Mughal Empire on 22 December 1666. He also spent his early years here before moving to Anandpur Sahib. Patna Sahib Mahotsav (festival), is an annual two-day cultural event at Patna, India. It is organized by the Tourism Department of Government of Bihar, is usually celebrated around Baisakhi near Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. Overview The first edition of mahotsav was started in 2008 at the Mangal Talab of the Manoj Kamalia Stadium, on the eve of Baisakhi. The Panjab Digital Library is a voluntary organization digitizing and preserving the cultural heritage of Panjab since 2003. With over 50 million digitized pages, it is the biggest resource of digital material on Panjab. There are many historically significant documents stored and made available online. Gandhi Maidan
Gandhi Maidan is a historic ground in Patna, near the banks of the Ganges River, in Bihar, India. The Golghar falls to its west. During the period of 1824–1833, under British rule, it was used as a golf course and horse racing track and was called Patna Lawns. It is spread across 60 acres of land.
