The Taipei Music Center (TMC; ) is a performing arts and cultural venue in Nangang District, Taipei, Taiwan. Overview City officials announced plans on July 24, 2008 to conduct an international design competition for the facility in tandem with plans for the Taipei Performing Arts Center. In 2012, government officials announced that winner of the design competition was Reiser + Umemoto, RUR Architecture P.C., the New York City based American architectural firm represented by a joint collaboration between American architect Jesse A. Reiser and Japanese architect Nanako Umemoto, both well known in the architectural world for their innovative post-modernist aesthetic. The firm is particularly well known for its recently completed office tower, 0-14, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction began on 19 June 2013. Ayal Komod
Chang Chen-yue (; born 2 May 1974), also known as A-Yue and by his Amis name Ayal Komod, is an aboriginal Taiwanese rock and Hip-Hop musician, songwriter, singer and guitarist, and the frontman of his band, Free Night, also known as Free9. He is most widely known for his 1998 hit song "''Ai Wo Bie Zou''" (Love me, don't go). His 2013 album ''I am Ayal Komod '' was awarded the Best Album Award during the 25th Golden Melody Awards. Chang is a Taiwanese aborigine of the Amis people. Life and career Chang was in the church choir as a child, which made him interested in music at a young age. Wakin Chau
Wakin Chau (born 22 December 1960), better known by his stage name Emil Chau during the 1980s and 1990s, is a Hong Kong-born Taiwanese singer and actor, popular throughout Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and parts of Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam). As of 2007, he has released more than 40 albums. Early life Wakin Chau was born in a rice store owned by his family at Sai Ying Pun in Hong Kong, the fourth son of seven children. He began learning the guitar when he was about 13 years old. In 1979, he left for Taipei to major in mathematics at National Taiwan University. Faith Yang
Faith Yang Naiwen (; born 2 March 1974) is a Taiwanese musician. She grew up in Sydney, Australia and studied biology and genetics at the University of Sydney. In 2000, Yang won the Golden Melody Award for Best Female Mandarin Singer for the album ''Silence''. Life and career After graduating from Sydney University, Yang returned to Taiwan to start a music career. She soon gained recognition at the university and pub circuit in Taiwan while touring with her backing band - Monster. In 1996 she signed with Magicstone records. Fish Leong
Fish Leong (born Leong Chui Peng on 16 June 1978) is a Malaysian singer and songwriter. Having sold more than 20 million records to date, she has achieved popularity and success in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Early life and breakthrough Leong was born in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. R&B singer Z-Chen is her older cousin. She debuted her singing career in Taiwan and signed to Rock Records in October 1997. Yin Chen-hao (; born 10 March 1985) is a Taiwanese director of music videos. His debut feature film is '' Man in Love'' (2021). During his graduate studies in chemistry at National Tsing Hua University, Yin cofounded Spacebar Studio in February 2012 with five other NTHU students.
