3rd Peoples' Democratic Party Ordinary Congress
The 3rd Ordinary Convention of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was held to elect the leaders and chief party officials of the HDP, a left-wing and pro-Kurdish political party in Turkey. The party employs gender quotas for internal elections, requiring the election of one male co-leader and one female co-leader. Sezai Temelli
Sezai Temelli (born 1963) is a Armenian rooted Turkish politician, and former chairman of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Turkey. He is currently a Member of Parliament representing Van for the HDP. Early life and career Temelli was born in İstanbul and graduated from the branch of finance at the Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. He later completed his PhD there. He later became a lecturer in political science and public policy, specialising in finance. He was dismissed from the university during the purges of 2016. Political career Temelli is a founding member of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). Before becoming its chairman, he served as the party's vice chairman responsible for economic policy. Labour Party (Turkey)
The Labour Party (in Turkish: ''Emek Partisi'', EMEP) is a communist party in Turkey. Its chairman is Ercüment Akdeniz. The party was founded as ''Emek Partisi'' (Labour Party, EP) in 1996. Due to its ban by the Constitutional Court, it was refounded with the name ''Emeğin Partisi'' (Party of Labour, EMEP), the same year. Kars is an electoral district of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. It elects three members of parliament (deputies) to represent the Kars Province, province of the same name for a four-year term by the D'Hondt method, a party-list proportional representation system. Ayhan Bilgen
Ayhan Bilgen (born 28 January 1971, Sarıkamış, Kars Province) is a journalist, politician and former mayor of Kars from the Peoples' Democratic Party. Early life and education He studied political sciences at the Ankara University and Sociology at the Haceteppe University, also in Ankara. In 2006, he was engaged in the Turkish Human Rights association Mazlumder in which activity he opposed the new Anti-Terror bill by the Turkish Government as it limited the freedom of expression. Mithat Sancar (born 1963) is a Turkish professor of public and constitutional law, columnist, and translator of Arab descent. The Democratic Society Party ( tr, Demokratik Toplum Partisi, DTP, Kurdish: ''Partiya Civaka Demokratîk'', PCD) was a Kurdish nationalist political party in Turkey.
