The 30th Division(() was created in June 1949 under ''the Regulation of the Redesignations of All Organizations and Units of the Army'', issued by the Central Military Commission on November 1, 1948,《中央军委关于统一全军组织及部队番号的规定》, http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_7254c7350100xb56.html basing on Independent Division of Wanbei Military District. Its history could be traced to the Independent Brigade of Wanbei Military District formed in June 1948. The division was a part of PLA 10th Corps, under the flag of 30th Division it took part in the Chinese civil war. In April 1950 the division was detached and moved to Jinxi for coast defense missions. In April 1952 the division was disbanded and transferred to the Navy. Chinese Civil War
The Chinese Civil War was fought between the Kuomintang-led government of the Republic of China and forces of the Chinese Communist Party, continuing intermittently since 1 August 1927 until 7 December 1949 with a Communist victory on mainland China. Huludao (), formerly known as Jinxi () until 1994, is a coastal prefecture-level city in southwestern Liaoning province, People's Republic of China.
