''2WO'' is the second studio album by Canadian new wave band Strange Advance released in February, 1985. It featured two hit Canadian singles, "We Run" and "The Second That I Saw You". Along with their first album, this was a Canadian gold record for the band. Background and writing This recording features heavy use of keyboards and synthesizers including the Fairlight, Yamaha DX7, and Jupiter 8. Recalling the inspiration behind the hit song "We Run", Drew Arnott said it was "one of those 'wake up sweating' dreams. I just described what I saw. The smallest things can be the most inspiring. Ed Shaw added a delay to a sound in "We Run" which made the whole track come alive for me. Major bow to Michael Kamen for the strings and Scott Litt (REM) for the mix." Strange Advance
Strange Advance is a Canadian new wave band formed in 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia. They were nominated for a 1983 Juno Award as Most Promising Group of the Year and again in 1985 as Group of the Year. Their first two albums, 1982's ''Worlds Away'''''' and 1985's ''2WO'', were Canadian gold selling records. Steve Sexton (composer)
Steve Sexton is a Canadian composer, arranger, musical director, producer and keyboardist. He served as Canadian singer Anne Murray's Musical Director for 25 years with responsibilities as her pianist, conductor, arranger, and on occasion her producer. Early career Sexton was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Richmond Hill High School and received a music degree from The University of Western Ontario and a performance degree from the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music. He was a member of the Canadian rock band, Red Rider, from 1982 to 1984 and appears as keyboardist on their albums '' Breaking Curfew'' and '' Neruda''. He was one half (with Gerald O'Brien) of the jazz/new-age ensemble, Exchange, whose recordings include ''Between Places'', ''Into the Night'', ''Exchange'', and ''Beyond Words''. Worlds Away (Strange Advance Album)
''Worlds Away'' is the debut studio album by Canadian new wave band Strange Advance, released November 1982. It featured two hit Canadian singles, "She Controls Me" and "Kiss in the Dark". Strange Advance was subsequently nominated for a Juno Award for Most Promising Group of the Year in 1983. The 7" single for "She Controls Me" contains a b-side track called "Lost in Your Eyes" which was later released on the ''Over 60 Minutes with... Strange Advance'' compilation. Tomas Mureika of AllMusic calls this album one of Canada's most underrated new wave debut releases. Four singles were released from this album, not including a dance mix of "Love Games" which was a club hit in England. According to a 2000 e-mail exchange with keyboardist Drew Arnott, Worlds Away was performed with Yamaha CS-80, Roland Jupiter-8, and Mellotron M400 synthesizers. Ken Sinnaeve
Kenneth "Spider" Sinnaeve (born May 2, 1955) is a Canadian musician. He was a founding member of the popular Canadian band Streetheart, and since 2001 has been a member of Loverboy, replacing late original bassist Scott Smith. Sinnaeve has also contributed to many albums and played live performances with George McCrae, Helix, Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, Kim Mitchell, The Partland Brothers, Lee Aaron, and The Guess Who. Domenic Troiano
Domenic Michele Antonio Troiano (January 17, 1946 – May 25, 2005) was a Canadian guitarist and songwriter, best known as a member of Mandala, Bush, James Gang, and The Guess Who. He also recorded music for film and television, often made guest appearances on other musicians' albums, and worked as a producer. Biography Troiano was born in Modugno, Italy, and his family emigrated to Toronto, Ontario during his childhood. He became a Canadian citizen in 1955. His first professional music work was in the early 1960s with a band fronted by Ronnie Hawkins. In 1965 Troiano joined a local Toronto band called the Five Rogues, which later found success as Mandala. Japanese Language

Keith Douglas Scott (born July 20, 1954) is a Canadian guitarist. He is best known for his long-term collaboration with the singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, for whom he plays lead guitar. Earl Slick (born Frank Madeloni in Brooklyn, New York, October 1, 1952) is a guitarist best known for his collaborations with David Bowie, John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Robert Smith.
