''2nd to None'' (also known as ''ELVIIS: 2nd to None'') is a collection of songs by American rock and roll musician Elvis Presley. The album was released by on October 7, 2003 by RCA Records as the sequel to the previous year's highly successful '' ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits''. The album included Elvis's #1 singles that did not appear on the previous release, other notable recordings by the artist, one previously unreleased recording ("I'm a Roustabout") and a remix of "Rubberneckin'" by Paul Oakenfold. Although not as successful as its predecessor, ''2nd to None'' made the top 10 in at least nine countries and received certifications in several regions. Production, artwork and packaging ''2nd to None'' was produced by Ernst Mikael Jorgensen and Ray Bardani. "Blue Suede Shoes" is a rock and roll standard written and first recorded by American singer, songwriter and guitarist Carl Perkins in 1955. It is considered one of the first rockabilly records, incorporating elements of blues, country and pop music of the time. Stanley Augustus Kesler (August 11, 1928October 26, 2020) was an American musician, record producer and songwriter, whose career began at the Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. He co-wrote several of Elvis Presley's early recordings including " I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone" and "I Forgot to Remember to Forget", and played guitar and bass on hit records by Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. Charlie Feathers
Charles Arthur Feathers (June 12, 1932 – August 29, 1998) was an American musician most associated with the rockabilly scene of the 1950s. Although not initially recognized for his contributions to rockabilly, over time his presence would become greatly elevated and he has been cited as an influence by a number of musicians. Biography Feathers was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, United States. He started out as a session musician at Sun Studios, playing any side instrument he could in the hopes of someday making his own music there. "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" is a 1955 rockabilly and country song, first recorded by Elvis Presley written by Stan Kesler and Charlie Feathers. It was Elvis' first no. 1 record nationally. The single was the fifth and final single released on Sun Records before Elvis moved to RCA Records. Background The song was recorded at Sun Studio on July 11, 1955, by Elvis Presley, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and Johnny Bernero on drums, and released on August 20, 1955, along with "Mystery Train" (Sun 223).
