2ST is a commercial radio station that commenced broadcasting in 1972. It is owned by ARN. 2ST was an AM radio station serving the Shoalhaven and Southern Tablelands regions of New South Wales, Australia, broadcasting on the frequency 91.7 MHz. The "ST" suffix denotes the "South Coast and Tablelands" area that is the station's coverage area. Paul Cashmere
Paul Cashmere is an Australian entrepreneur, broadcaster, music journalist and media executive. In 1995 he founded the digital music CD-ROM magazine, ''Undercover'', with Australian photographer and domestic partner, Ros O'Gorman (1960–2018). In September 2011 the pair founded the Noise Network including ''Noise11.com.'' As of September 2011 Cashmere was CEO and executive producer of the Noise Network. Biography Paul Cashmere began as a radio broadcaster in the late 1970s. He started at 2AD, Armidale (1977), then Nowra-based 2ST (1978 to 1981), EON-FM (1981-1983) and Fox FM (1983-1984). Grant Broadcasters is an Australian regional radio network. Founded in 1942, by 2019 it owned 53 radio stations. In 2022 it sold 46 to Here, There & Everywhere retaining shareholdings in seven in Canberra, Geelong, Goulburn and Perth. History Grant Broadcasters was founded by Walter Grant in 1942 when he bought 2DU in Dubbo. In 1972 a shareholding in 2ST in Nowra was purchased followed in 1979 by 2PK in Parkes and in 1982 2MG in Mudgee. In 1986 2DU, 2PK and 2MG were sold with full ownership taken of 2ST. Over the next three decades, the company expanded through acquisition, purchasing radio stations in all states and territories of Australia, owning 53 stations by November 2021.
