2C-C
2C-C is a Psychedelics, dissociatives and deliriants, psychedelic drug of the 2C (psychedelics), 2C family. It was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, sometimes used as an entheogen. In his book ''PiHKAL, PiHKAL (Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved)'', Shulgin lists the dosage range as 20–40 mg. 2C-C is usually taken orally, but may also be insufflated. 2C-C is Controlled Substances Act#Schedule I controlled substances, schedule I of section 202(c) of the Controlled Substances Act in the United States, signed into law as of July, 2012 under the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act. Not much information is known about the toxicity of 2C-C. Effects Over the approximate dose range 20–40 mg, visual effects last approximately 4 to 8 hours. Drug prohibition laws China As of October 2015 2C-C is a controlled substance in China. Canada As of October 31, 2016; 2C-C is a controlled substance (Schedule III) in Canada. Germany 2C-C is an Drugs contro ...

2C (psychedelics)
2C (2C-''x'') is a general name for the family of psychedelic drug, psychedelic phenethylamines containing Methoxy, methoxy groups on the 2 and 5 carbon, positions of a benzene ring. Most of these compounds also carry lipophilic substituents at the 4 position, usually resulting in more potent and more metabolism, metabolically stable and longer acting compounds. Most of the currently known 2C compounds were first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin in the 1970s and 1980s and published in his book ''PiHKAL'' (''Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved''). Shulgin also coined the term 2C, being an acronym for the 2 carbon atoms between the benzene ring and the amino group. Legality Canada As of October 12, 2016, the 2C-''x'' family of substituted phenethylamines is a controlled substance (Schedule III) in Canada. See also * Substituted phenethylamines * Substituted amphetamines * Substituted methylenedioxyphenethylamines * DOx, 25-NB * Substituted tryptamines References

Drugs Controlled By The German Betäubungsmittelgesetz
Drugs controlled by the German ''Betäubungsmittelgesetz'' (BtMG). Trade and drug possession, possession of these substances without licence or prescription is considered illegal; prescription is illegal for drugs on ''Anlage I'' and II and drugs on ''Anlage III'' require a special prescription form. ''Anlage I'' ''Anlage I'' controlled substances are tradability, non-tradable. Those substances are available only by special permission of the authorities, which is granted only for scientific or other public interest purposes. As well as ester, ether, Stereoisomerism, stereoisomers and salts of the substances listed in ''Anlage I''. '' Anlage II'' ''Anlage II'' controlled substances are tradability, tradable, given special permission of the authorities, however not medical prescription , prescriptible. Narcotics on ''Anlage II'' are usually needed for the production of other narcotics on ''Anlage III''. As well as ester, ether and salts of the substances listed in ''Anlage II'' ...

2,5-Dimethoxy-4-chloroamphetamine
2,5-Dimethoxy-4-chloroamphetamine (DOC) is a psychedelic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. It was presumably first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, and was described in his book '' PiHKAL'' (''Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved''). Chemistry DOC is a substituted alpha-methylated phenethylamine, a class of compounds commonly known as amphetamines. The phenethylamine equivalent (lacking the alpha-methyl group) is 2C-C. DOC has a stereocenter and (''R'')-(−)-DOC is the more active stereoisomer. Pharmacology DOC acts as a selective 5-HT2A, 5-HT2B, and 5-HT2C receptor partial agonist. Its psychedelic effects are mediated via its actions on the 5-HT2A receptor. Dosage A normal average dose of DOC ranges from 0.5–7.0 mg the former producing threshold effects, and the latter producing extremely strong effects. Onset of the drug is 1–3 hours, peak and plateau at 4–8 hours, and a gradual come down with residual stimulation at 9-20h. ...

Food And Drug Administration Safety And Innovation Act Of 2012
The Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act of 2012 (FDASIA) is a piece of American regulatory legislation signed into law on July 9, 2012. It gives the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the authority to collect user fees from the medical industry to fund reviews of innovator drugs, medical devices, generic drugs and biosimilar biologics. It also creates the breakthrough therapy designation program and extends the priority review voucher program to make eligible rare pediatric diseases. The measure was passed by 96 senators voting for and one voting against. Title I: Fees Relating to Drugs Title I extends through FY2017 the authority of the FDA, through the authority of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, to collect drug application and supplement fees, prescription drug establishment fees, and prescription drug product fees to support the FDA process for reviewing human drug applications. It requires the FDA to submit annually to the House ...

Phenethylamine
Phenethylamine (PEA) is an organic compound, natural monoamine alkaloid, and trace amine, which acts as a central nervous system stimulant in humans. In the brain, phenethylamine regulates monoamine neurotransmission by binding to trace amine-associated receptor 1 (TAAR1) and inhibiting vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) in monoamine neurons. To a lesser extent, it also acts as a neurotransmitter in the human central nervous system. In mammals, phenethylamine is produced from the amino acid L-phenylalanine by the enzyme aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase via enzymatic decarboxylation. In addition to its presence in mammals, phenethylamine is found in many other organisms and foods, such as chocolate, especially after microbial fermentation. Phenethylamine is sold as a dietary supplement for purported mood and weight loss-related therapeutic benefits; however, in orally ingested phenethylamine, a significant amount is metabolized in the small intestine by monoami ...

Hydrochloride
In chemistry, a hydrochloride is an acid salt resulting, or regarded as resulting, from the reaction of hydrochloric acid with an organic base (e.g. an amine). An alternative name is chlorhydrate, which comes from French. An archaic alternative name is muriate, derived from hydrochloric acid's ancient name: muriatic acid. Uses Converting amines into their hydrochlorides is a common way to improve their water solubility, which can be desirable for substances used in medications. The European Pharmacopoeia lists more than 200 hydrochlorides as active ingredients in medications. These hydrochlorides, compared to free bases, may more readily dissolve in the gastrointestinal tract and be absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly. Additionally, many hydrochlorides of amines have a longer shelf-life than their respective free bases. Amine hydrochlorides represent latent forms of a more reactive free base. In this regard, formation of an amine hydrochloride confers protection. This eff ...

Psychedelics, Dissociatives And Deliriants
Hallucinogens are a large, diverse class of psychoactive drugs that can produce altered states of consciousness characterized by major alterations in thought, mood, and perception as well as other changes. Most hallucinogens can be categorized as either being psychedelics, dissociatives, or deliriants. However, certain hallucinogens such as Fly agaric as well as other gabaergic hallucinogenics are more often considered to technically be hypnotics, therefore indicating another separate subcategory of drugs which can substantially alter visual perception. Etymology The word ''hallucinogen'' is derived from the word ''hallucination''. The term ''hallucinate'' dates back to around 1595–1605, and is derived from the Latin ''hallūcinātus'', the past participle of ''(h)allūcināri'', meaning "to wander in the mind." Characteristics Leo Hollister gave five criteria for classifying a drug as hallucinogenic.Glennon RA. Classical drugs: an introductory overview. In Lin GC and Gle ...
