''28 Hotel Rooms'' is an American film written and directed by Matt Ross and starring Chris Messina and Marin Ireland. It is Matt Ross' first feature film. Premise A novelist and a corporate accountant conduct an affair over a period of several years, meeting only when they are each traveling for work in a city far from their homes. The film takes a minimalist approach: it consists entirely of scenes between the two of them in hotel rooms. Matt Ross (actor)
Matthew Brandon Ross (born January 3, 1970) is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his roles as Gavin Belson in the HBO series ''Silicon Valley (TV series), Silicon Valley'', Glenn Odekirk in ''The Aviator (2004 film), The Aviator'', and Luis Carruthers in ''American Psycho (film), American Psycho''. Early life and education Ross was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, and raised in Eagle Point, Oregon. His parents divorced when he was young, and Ross was raised in what he described as "alternative living situations". His mother became interested in the Waldorf education philosophy and Ross spent time in England while his mother worked towards a teaching credential in Waldorf education.
