27th Government Of Turkey
The 27th government of Turkey (25 June 1962 – 25 December 1963) is the second coalition government in the history of Turkey. The prime minister, İsmet İnönü, was the leader of Republican People's Party (CHP) and a former president. Background After a short coalition with Justice Party (AP) in the previous government, the new coalition partners were New Turkey Party (YTP) of Ekrem Alican, Republican Villagers Nation Party (CKMP), and the Independents. However, Osman Bölükbaşı, the leader of CKMP, pulled out of the coalition government and formed a new party named Nation Party. İlhami Sancar (1909 – 13 December 1986) was a Turkish judge, politician and former government minister. İlhami Sancar born in Gördes ilçe (district) of Manisa Province, Ottoman Empire in 1909. He completed his primary education in Kemalpaşa, and the secondary education in İzmir. He studied in Law School of Ankara University. After graduation in 1933, he served as a judge. Political career He resigned from his court work, and joined the Republican People's Party (CHP). In 1949, he was elected as the chairman of CHP's İstanbul branch office. On 24 January 1961, he was appointed to the Constituent Assembly of Turkey as a CHP representative. During the post-military era, he served as a deputy of İstanbul Province in the 12th, and the 13th Parliament of Turkey between 1961 and 1969. Fahrettin Kerim Gökay
Fahrettin Kerim Gökay (January 9, 1900 Eskişehir – July 22, 1987 Istanbul) was a Turkish politician, civil servant, professor ordinarius and physician. He served as government minister, and is well known for his long-term position as governor of Istanbul. Early years He was born on January 9, 1900, in Eskişehir. His father was Hajji Kerim Efendi, a Crimean Tatar from Kerch and his mother Hajji Azize Hanım, an immigrant daughter from Dobruja. After finishing the primary school in his hometown, he studied in a high school in Istanbul. Gökay was educated at Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine, from where he graduated as a physician in 1922. He then carried out studies between 1922 and 1924 at universities of Munich and Hamburg in Germany as well as at University of Vienna, Austria, specializing in neuropathy. Ferit Melen
Ferit Sadi Melen (2 November 1906 – 3 September 1988) was a Turkish civil servant, politician and Prime Minister of Turkey. Biography After graduating from high school in Bursa, he obtained a degree in finance from the School of Political Science at Ankara University in 1931. Ferit Melen entered the state service right after his graduation, and was sent to Paris, France, for an internship at the Ministry of Finance there. After one year, he returned home and worked in several services of the Ministry of Finance as an inspector. In 1943, he was promoted to general director in the ministry. Ferit Melen entered politics as a deputy from Van Province from the Republican People's Party (''Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi,'' CHP) following the 1950 general election.
