24 Hours Of Zolder
The 24 Hours of Zolder (24 uur van Zolder in Dutch) is a yearly sports car and touring car endurance race held at Circuit Zolder in Belgium. The race was initially held in 1983, and has run every year except for 1988. In 1989 a GT car won for the first time, and the following year the race joined the calendar of the BBL Cup, which became the Carglass Cup in 1992. Circuit Zolder
The Circuit Zolder, also known as Circuit Terlamen, is an undulating motorsport race track in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. History Built in 1963, Zolder hosted the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix on 10 separate occasions in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 1980 Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix. F1 moved to Zolder in 1973 and with the exception of a race at Nivelles-Baulers in 1974, Zolder was the location of the Belgian Grand Prix until 1982. That year, Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve was killed during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Enzo Ide (born 22 June 1991 in Tielt) is a Belgian racing driver. Racing career Ide began his racing career in Belcar, racing a Porsche 997 GT3 for Prospeed Competition, together with Ruben Maes. For 2011 he stepped up to the FIA GT3 European Championship, driving an Audi R8 LMS for Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. Sharing with Gregory Franchi for the first five rounds, he won races at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve and the Circuito de Navarra. Prospeed Competition is a sports car racing team based in Liège, Belgium. It was founded in 2006 by Rudi Penders and Luc Goris. It has been a factory-supported Porsche team since 2008. The team debuted in the 2006 Belcar Endurance Championship, where it won the 2011 and 2012 drivers championships and the 2009 24 Hours of Zolder. Maxime Soulet (born 26 July 1983) is a Belgian racing driver. Career Soulet began his racing career in 2002, competing in two races in the French Formula Renault series. In 2004, Soulet competed in both the Mini Cooper Challenge Belgium and the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 series, winning championship titles in both. In 2015, Soulet was signed as a Bentley factory driver in the then- Blancpain GT Series. Mike Hezemans (born 25 July 1969, in Eindhoven) is a professional racecar driver from the Netherlands. Mike is the son of Toine Hezemans and brother of Loris Hezemans. Mike started in karting in 1981, and won the Dutch National Championship in 1984. In 1989 he finished 2nd in the European Championship Formula A and 3rd in the World Championship Formula A.
