21st Century Breakdown World Tour was a headlining concert tour by American punk band Green Day in support of the group's eighth studio album, '' 21st Century Breakdown'', which was released in May 2009. The tour began with an eight-week leg throughout North America, kicking off in Seattle in July 2009 and culminating in Los Angeles in late August. The tour in the U.S had 11 Stadium shows, making it the most Stadiums played in Green Day's entire career until the Hella Mega Tour in 2021. The tour grossed about $64 million. A European leg followed, beginning in Lisbon in late September and wrapping up mid-November in Turin, Italy. In December 2009, the group toured Australia and New Zealand, followed by Asian dates in January 2010. ''21st Century Breakdown'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Green Day, released on May 15, 2009, through Reprise Records. Green Day commenced work on the record in January 2006 and forty-five songs were written by vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong by October 2007, but the band members did not enter studio work until January 2008.Fricke, p. 48 The album is a rock opera much like their previous album '' American Idiot'' (2004). Armstrong has described the album as a "snapshot of the era in which we live as we question and try to make sense of the selfish manipulation going on around us, whether it be the government, religion, media or frankly any form of authority". The singles " Know Your Enemy" and " 21 Guns" exemplify the themes of alienation and politically motivated anger present in the record. Johnossi
Johnossi is a rock duo from Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County, Sweden, consisting of songwriter, singer, guitarist John Engelbert and drummer, percussionist, singer Oskar Bonde, Oskar "Ossi" Bonde. History Engelbert and Bonde first met when they were 12 and 15 years old, respectively, and started playing together as a duo in 2004. They recorded their first album after only five months as a band, and with only three live shows to their credit. Their self-titled first album was released in January 2005 by a small Swedish indie label; it was rereleased in September 2006 by V2 Music with an additional three tracks. Their second album, ''All They Ever Wanted'', had its Scandinavian and Western European release in April 2008, followed by a Japanese release in 2009.
