20th Finnish Dragoon Regiment
The 20th Finnish Dragoon Regiment () was a cavalry regiment of the Imperial Russian Army which saw service during the later half of the 19th Century and beginning of the 20th before disbanding following the October Revolution. Three regiments went by the name of 'Finnish Dragoon Regiment', of which the 20th was the last. First Regiment (1806) Formation Following the end of the War of the Third Coalition, the Russian Army was gradually expanded. On 23 June 1806, an imperial decree ordered the formation of several new dragoon regiments, among them was the Finnish Dragoon Regiment, along with the 14th Mitavsky Hussar Regiment, Mittau (Mitavsky), and in August the Arzamas Dragoon Regiment, Arzamass, 14th Yamburgsky Uhlan Regiment, Yamburg, Livonian Dragoon Regiment, Libau, Nezhinsky Dragoon Regiment, Nezhinsk, Serpukhov Lancer Regiment, Serpukhov, Tiraspol Dragoon Regiment, Tiraspol, and Dorpat Dragoon Regiment, Dorpat Dragoon Regiments.
