Chips (band)
Chips was a Swedish country group formed in Sweden in 1979. History Chips finished 4th in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1980 with the song " Mycke' mycke' mer", with Lars Westman, Lisa Magnusson, Mats Rådberg and Monica Silverstrand (back then Barwén) as background singers. After Melodifestivalen 1980, Johansson also became a member. In 1980, the album ''Chips'' was released and shortly after this, Elisabeth Andreasson became a member. Just some weeks after this, they toured the former West Germany. Under a new name ''Sweets 'n Chips'', which they used since a dansband also said they owned the right for the name Chips, the group competed at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, and finished second with the song " God morgon". A little bit later the group was reduced to two members, Danielsson and Andreasson, although Holm stayed as songwriter. Chips won the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1982, with the song "Dag efter dag". Lasse Holm
Lars-Eric Gustav "Lasse" Holm (born 9 December 1943) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. Holm has also hosted and appeared in several television shows. As singer Since childhood, he was interested in music and was a member of a lot of pop music and rock music groups in the 1960s: ''Doug and the Millsmen'', ''The Spacemen'' and ''The Moonlighters''. Holm and singer Monica Törnell represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 with the song "E' de' det här du kallar kärlek". As songwriter Holm is best known as a schlager composer. "God morgon" is a pop song in Swedish, performed by the pop and country group Chips, just then named "Sweets 'n Chips", at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, where it finished 2nd. Its lyrics are about morning. "God morgon" was written by Lasse Holm and Torgny Söderberg. With this song, Elisabeth Andreasson and Britta "Tanja" Johansson made their Melodifestivalen debuts. Ann-Kristin "Kikki" Danielsson (born 10 May 1952) is a Swedish country, dansband and pop singer. Sometimes, she also plays the accordion and she has also written some lyrics. Elisabeth Gunilla Andreassen (; born 28 March 1958), also known as just Bettan, is a Norwegian-Swedish singer who has finished both first and second in the Eurovision Song Contest. The pop and country group Chips (Kikki Danielsson and Elisabeth Andreassen) won the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1982 with it. Chips, as representatives, finished eighth in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982. On April 18, 1982, the song reached the first place at Svensktoppen, where it stayed for nine rounds. On June 13, 1982, the song was the last to be number one at Svensktoppen, before the program was removed the first time. Chips also recorded the song with lyrics in English, "Day after Day".
