2026 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup
The 2026 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup will be the 16th edition of the Women's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for women's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It will be held from 15 to 30 August 2026 in Wavre, Belgium and Amstelveen, Netherlands. Host selection The International Hockey Federation announced on 15 June 2022 that they received the following five bids for the 2026 World Cup. Wavre (; nl, Waver, ; wa, Wåve) is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality of Wallonia, capital of the Provinces of Belgium, province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium. 2023–24 Women's FIH Pro League
The 2023–24 Women's FIH Pro League will be the fifth edition of the Women's FIH Pro League, a field hockey championship for women's national teams. The tournament is set to begin on 6 December 2023 and finish on 29 June 2024. Format The home and away principle was kept, however the season is divided into date blocks. To assist with competition planning, international and national, several teams gather in one venue to contest “mini-tournaments," wherein they each play two matches against one another. If one of the two matches played between two teams is cancelled, the winner of the other match receives double points. This season winner will earn direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup. The Stade Justin Peeters, (formerly the Justin Peeters Stadium) is a former football (soccer), football stadium located in Wavre near Brussels, Belgium and the former homeground of Racing Jet Wavre, that had come over the years to be found in the northeast of the city center under the significant address Avenue du Center Sportif. Wagener Stadium
Wagener Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for field hockey matches and hosted matches for the 1973 World Hockey Cup. The stadium holds 7,600 people. The complex has belonged to the Dutch Hockey Association (''""'') since 1980. Its location is the Amsterdamse Bos in Amstelveen. It was built by the Amsterdam Hockey & Bandy Club to honour its president, (1881–1945). The building was completed in 1938, one year before World War II came to Netherlands. During the 1970s it became clear that AHBC could no longer afford the stadium, which was eventually sold to the Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond.
