2024 The Arena League Season
The 2024 Arena League season was the inaugural season of The Arena League (TAL). The regular season began on June 1, 2024 and ended on July 27, 2024. Background The Arena League was announced as a six-man football, six-on-six indoor American football league with the intentions to launch in 2024 with four teams and with NFL Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown (American football), Tim Brown as the Commissioner. The league kicked off the regular season on June 1, 2024. The TAL aim is to highlight the player's athleticism and increase the pace of play. Teams The first city announced was Springfield, Missouri, Springfield with Duluth, Minnesota, Duluth being the second city. Waterloo, Iowa, Waterloo was announced as the third team on May 4, 2023. Kansas City, Missouri, Kansas City was the fourth and final team announced for the inaugural 2024 season. The Arena League (The AL or TAL) is a six-man football, six-on-six indoor American football league in the United States. The league launched in 2024 with four teams. History The league was first announced in February 2023, with NFL Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown (American football), Tim Brown as TAL Commissioner. The league then released a list of ten semi-finalist markets, which people could vote for the city to be a part of the inaugural season: Waterloo, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri; Springfield, Missouri; Rochester, Minnesota; Little Rock, Arkansas; Rockford, Illinois; Dubuque, Iowa; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Duluth, Minnesota and Wichita Falls, Texas with fans casting their votes at TAL official website.
