The 2024 Players Championship (officially the 2024 Johnstone's Paint Players Championship) was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 19 to 25 February 2024 at the Telford International Centre in Telford, England. The 14th Snooker world rankings, ranking event of the 2023–24 snooker season, 2023–24 season, following the 2024 Welsh Open (snooker), Welsh Open and preceding the 2024 World Open (snooker), World Open, it was the second of three events in the Players Series, following the 2024 World Grand Prix, World Grand Prix and preceding the 2024 Tour Championship, Tour Championship. Organised by the World Snooker Tour and sponsored by Johnstone's Paint, the event was broadcast by ITV (TV network), ITV and ITVX domestically, by Eurosport and Discovery+ in Europe, and by other broadcasters worldwide. The Players Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Neil Robertson is the reigning champion. History After the establishment of the Players Tour Championship, the Players Tour Championship Finals was first held in 2011 at The Helix in Dublin, between the top 24 players of the Order of Merit, who played at least 6 events; 3 in Sheffield and 3 in mainland Europe. The event was sponsored by PartyCasino.com. In 2012 the event moved to the Bailey Allen Hall in Galway, and was sponsored by Betfair. In 2013 the event was sponsored by Dafabet, and the competition was expanded to 32 players. The field consisted of the top 25 players from the UK/European Order of Merit, the top four players from the Asian Order of Merit and the three APTC event winners.
