The 2024 Ohio general elections will be held on November 5, 2024, throughout the US state of Ohio. Elections in Ohio are held on a county, state, and federal level. The Republicans are strongest in the rural Northwest, the affluent Cincinnati and Columbus suburbs, and have made gains in Appalachian Southeast Ohio and the industrial, working-class Northeast in the 21st century. The Democrats rely on the state's major cities, and have made gains in educated suburban areas in recent years. The state was strongly Republican from the party's inception, as it voted Republican in every election from 1856 to 1908. Ohio District Courts Of Appeals
The Ohio District Courts of Appeals are the intermediate appellate courts of the U.S. state of Ohio. The Ohio Constitution provides for courts of appeals that have jurisdiction to review final appealable orders. There are twelve appellate districts, each consisting of at least one county, and the number of judges in each district varies from four to twelve. Each case is heard by a three-judge panel. There are currently 69 courts of appeals judges as provided by statute. A court of appeals judge is an elected position, with a term of six years. Joe Deters
Joseph Theodore Deters (born April 4, 1957) is an American politician and lawyer who currently serves as Prosecuting Attorney for Hamilton County, Ohio. Early life, family, and education Deters is a lifelong Cincinnatian. He is one of eight children born to Nancy and Donald Deters. His grandfather, Daniel Tehan, was a longtime Hamilton County Sheriff. Deters graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1975. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1979, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1982. Career Deters began his career in public service in 1982 as an Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor. In 1988, after six years as an Assistant Prosecutor, Deters was elected the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.
