2023–24 Toronto Raptors Season
The 2023–24 Toronto Raptors season was the 29th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On April 21, 2023, the Raptors fired head coach Nick Nurse after five seasons with the team. On June 13, 2023, the Raptors hired Darko Rajaković as their head coach. Near the end of the 2023 calender year, on December 30, the Toronto Raptors not only agreed to trade OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a 2024 second round pick from the Detroit Pistons, but also ended up being the team to end the Pistons' record-holding 28-game losing streak for the regular season with a 129–127 loss on the road. Darko Rajaković
Darko Rajaković ( sr-Cyrl, Дарко Рајаковић; born 22 February 1979) is a Serbian professional basketball coach who is the head coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rajaković was the head coach of the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA G League for two seasons and the first head coach in NBA G League history born outside of North America. Education Rajaković earned his degree in basketball coaching from the Belgrade Basketball Academy in 2004 and earned his degree in sports management from Alfa BK University in 2006. Bruce Brown Jr. (born August 15, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Miami Hurricanes men's basketball, Miami Hurricanes and was selected 42nd overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2018 NBA draft. Michael James Batiste (born November 21, 1977) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gradey Reed Dick (born November 20, 2003) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2022 class. A small forward, in 2022, Dick was named the boys Gatorade National Player of the Year. Richard Dumas
Richard Wayne Dumas (born May 19, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he is the son of former American Basketball Association player Rich Dumas. Basketball career Dumas, a 6' 7" small forward from Oklahoma State University, was selected with the 46th pick of the 1991 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns. Just before the start of the 1991–92 season, however, Dumas was suspended from the NBA for violating its substance abuse policy. Dumas played in Israel for Hapoel Holon during his suspension. Jack Molinas
Jacob Louis Molinas (October 31, 1931 – August 3, 1975) was an American professional basketball player and a key figure in one of the most wide-reaching point shaving scandals in college basketball. Early life Molinas grew up in Brooklyn and attended Stuyvesant High School. His parents owned a bar on Coney Island. College career He attended Columbia University from 1950 to 1953 where he played basketball. In the 1952-1953 season he was the captain of Columbia's team and led the team in scoring. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017.
