2023–24 Phoenix Suns Season
The 2023–24 Phoenix Suns season was the 56th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as their 31st season at the Footprint Center. It is also the first full season under the ownership group led by Mat Ishbia and Justin Ishbia after the brothers purchased the team on February 8, 2023. It was the first season since 1971–72 without Al McCoy broadcasting any games. He announced his retirement after the 2023 NBA playoffs. It also was the first season the Suns moved their broadcasting services from Bally Sports Arizona (previously named FSN Arizona and Fox Sports Arizona) back in 2003 to local broadcast stations in Arizona owned by Gray Television, branded as Arizona's Family Sports alongside an over-the-top subscription service called "Suns Live" that was created by Kiswe. Frank Vogel
Frank Paul Vogel (born June 21, 1973) is an American professional basketball coach. He previously served as the head coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Vogel also previously served as an assistant coach of the Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. He coached the Lakers to an NBA championship in 2020. Early years Vogel grew up in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. During his eighth grade year, he was featured in an episode of '' Late Night with David Letterman'' during the Stupid Human Tricks segment, in which he spun a basketball on a toothbrush while brushing his teeth. On December 10, 1990, Vogel's childhood home caught fire and everything in the house was destroyed. Vogel, who was 17 years old at the time, and his mother—the only two people in the house at the time—escaped out of a window. Vogel graduated from Wildwood High School in 1991.
