The 2023–24 New Orleans Pelicans season was the 22nd season of the New Orleans Pelicans franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team returned to the playoffs after a one-year absence defeating the Sacramento Kings in the second game of the NBA play-in tournament after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first game. Willie Julius Green (born July 28, 1981) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jordan Dorrell Hawkins (born April 29, 2002) is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies. Early life and high school career Hawkins grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and initially attended Gaithersburg High School. The New Orleans Pelicans are an American professional basketball team based in New Orleans.
