2023–24 Macedonian First Football League
The 2023–24 Macedonian First League is the 32nd season of the Macedonian First Football League, the highest Association football, football league of North Macedonia, Macedonia. It began on 6 August 2023 and is scheduled to end on 19 May 2024. FC Struga, Struga are the defending champions, having won their first title in 2022–23 Macedonian First Football League, 2022–23. The winners qualify for the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League#First qualifying round, Champions League first qualifying round. The second-placed team and 2023–24 Macedonian Football Cup winners qualify for the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League#First qualifying round, Conference League first qualifying round. Toše Proeski Arena
Toše Proeski National Arena ( mk, Национална арена "Тоше Проески") is a sports stadium in Skopje, North Macedonia. It is currently used mostly for football matches, but sometimes also for music concerts or athletics. Ecolog Arena
Ecolog Arena is a multi-purpose stadium in Tetovo, North Macedonia used primary for football matches. The stadium's capacity is 15,000 seats. History The stadium opened in 1981 and was called Tetovo City Stadium (Stadion Gradski Tetovo) until 2016. The Football Federation of Macedonia and the Tetovo Municipality agreed in March 2015 to renovate the stadium as a part of the UEFA "Hat-trick 4" initiative. The renovation began in April 2015 and was completed in April 2016. Floodlights to play matches at night were erected later the same year. In July 2016, Ecolog International, the owners of KF Shkëndija, took Tetovo City Stadium under concession from the Tetovo municipal council and committed to invest 7.7 million euros to renovate the stadium to be able to host international matches. UEFA Elite Stadium
UEFA stadium categories are categories for football stadiums laid out in UEFA's Stadium Infrastructure Regulations. Using these regulations, stadiums are rated as category one, two, three, or four (renamed from elite) in ascending ranking order. These categories replaced the previous method of ranking stadiums on one to five star scale in 2006. A stadium must be rated as category four in order to host games in the playoffs of the qualifying stage for the UEFA Champions League, or any game in the main competition. Blagoj Istatov Stadium is a football stadium in Strumica, North Macedonia. With the last reconstruction in 2017 the stadium has a capacity of 9,200 seats, and it is a third-class field in accordance with UEFA standards. FK Sileks ( mk, ФК Силекс) is a football club based in Kratovo, North Macedonia who play in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 1965. Sileks biggest accomplishment in 90s came in the Yugoslav Cup where they reached the quarter-final. It was a remarkable achievement considering they defeated both Sarajevo teams, FK Željezničar and FK Sarajevo in back to back rounds. FK Rabotnichki ( mk, ФК Работнички) or more commonly Rabotnički (old transliteration) and Rabotnicki is a football club that plays at the Toshe Proeski Arena in Skopje, North Macedonia. FK Akademija Pandev Brera Strumica ( mk, ФК Академија Пандев Брера Струмица), commonly known as AP Brera Strumica, is a Macedonian football club based in Strumica, which competes in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 2010 as Akademija Pandev by the Macedonian football player Goran Pandev, after whom the academy was named. As of 2014, AP Brera has a senior team competing in the Macedonian senior leagues and in 2017, the senior team was promoted to the Macedonian First League for the first time in its history.
