2023–24 Liga 2 (Indonesia)
The 2023–24 Liga 2 (also known as the 2023–24 Pegadaian Liga 2 for sponsorship reasons) is the seventh season of the Liga 2 under its current name and the 14th season under its current league structure. PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) is responsible for the operation the league. Plan to change Liga 2's operator was shelved for this season and will be implemented at the very least for the 2024–2025 season. Because Liga 2's previous season along with 2022–23 Liga 3 were abandoned due to a combination of factors with the most notable among them was the Kanjuruhan Stadium disaster, participants of the league remain unchanged from last season. 28 teams, an increase of four teams from the 2021–22 Liga 2, who participated last season, remain in the league. Liga 2 (English: ''League Two'') is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by PSSI. Before 2017, this competition was named the Liga Indonesia Premier Division (from 1994 to 2007, it was the top-tier division in the Indonesian football league system). 2022–23 Liga 3 is the seventh season of the Liga 3 under the current name and the eighth season under the current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The tournament is organized by Provincial Association of PSSI for the provincial round and PSSI central for the national round. The Football Association of Indonesia ( id, Persatuan Sepakbola Seluruh Indonesia; 'All-Indonesian Football Association'; abbreviated as PSSI) is the governing body of football in Indonesia. It was founded on 19 April 1930, fifteen years before Indonesian independence. PSSI joined the Asian Football Confederation in 1954 and FIFA in 1952.
