2023–24 CEV Champions League
The 2023–24 CEV Champions League is the 65th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Qualification Pools composition The drawing of lots was held on 19 July 2023 in Luxembourg City. League round * The teams are split into 5 groups, each one featuring four teams. * The top team in each pool automatically qualifies for the quarterfinals. * All 2nd placed teams and the best 3rd placed team qualify for the playoffs. * The remaining 3rd placed teams will compete in the quarterfinals of the 2023–24 CEV Cup. *All times are local. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. After each match the following points are assigned: * Winner (3:0 or 3:1) – 3 points * Winner (3:2) – 2 points * Loser (2:3) – 1 point * Loser (1:3 or 0:3) – 0 points Each pool will be contested in a six-leg double round-robin home-and-away format. Time In Turkey
Time in Turkey is given by UTC+03:00 year-round. This time is also called Turkey Time (''TRT''). The time at most is the same as in the Moscow Time and Arabia Standard Time zones. Quarterfinals
A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. 2023–24 CEV Cup
The 2023–24 CEV Cup was the 52nd edition of the second most important European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. This year’s edition of the CEV Cup consisted of 44 teams, of which 29 teams qualified directly for the CEV Cup; 11 teams were the losers from the Champions League qualification phase; and the remaining 4 joined the rest in the quarterfinals, being transferred there from the Champions League group stage as the 3rd placed teams in their respective pools. Asseco Resovia won their maiden CEV Cup, beating SVG Lüneburg in the finals. Stéphen Boyer was named MVP of the final match. Olympiacos Men's Volleyball ( el, Ολυμπιακός, ), commonly referred to as Olympiacos, Olympiacos Piraeus or with its full name as Olympiacos CFP, is the men's volleyball department of the major Greek multi-sport club, Olympiacos CFP, based in Piraeus, Attica. The department was founded in 1926 and their home ground is the Melina Merkouri Indoor Hall in Agios Ioannis Rentis, Piraeus. ACH Volley
ACH Volley is a Slovenian men's volleyball club based in Ljubljana that competes in the Slovenian League. They play their home matches at Tivoli Hall. The club was founded in 1970 and was based in Bled until 2011, when the team relocated to Ljubljana. ACH have won the Slovenian championship a record 18 times, including 16 consecutive titles between 2005 and 2020.
