The 2023–24 Armenian Premier League, known as the IDBank Armenian Premier League ( hy, IDBank Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա) for sponsorship reasons, was the 32nd season of the league since its establishment. Armenian Premier League
The Armenian Premier League ( hy, VBET Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա, known as the VBET Armenian Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. From 1936 to 1991, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the USSR. After independence, the Football Federation of Armenia has been the unit in charge. Over the years, the league has evolved into a small league consisting of ten teams. The winner of the league is awarded a spot in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Gyumri
Gyumri ( hy, Գյումրի, ) is an urban municipal community and the second-largest city in Armenia, serving as the administrative center of Shirak Province in the northwestern part of the country. By the end of the 19th century, when the city was known as Alexandropol,; hy, Ալեքսանդրապոլ it became the largest city of Russian-ruled Eastern Armenia with a population above that of Yerevan. Abovyan City Stadium
Abovyan City Stadium ( hy, Աբովյանի Քաղաքային Մարզադաշտ) is an all-seater stadium, all-seater association football, football stadium in Abovyan, Armenia. Overview Abovyan City Stadium was opened in 1966 and currently holds a capacity of 3,100 seats. The stadium which was known as Kotayk Stadium until 2006, used to have a capacity of 5,500 spectators. In 2006, the venue was turned into an all-seater stadium, thus reducing the capacity down to 3,946 seats (2,498 at the eastern stand and 1,448 at the western stand). The stadium was renamed Abovyan City Stadium during the same year. Major renovation works were executed in 2021-22. Abovyan
Abovyan or Abovian ( hy, Աբովյան), is a town and urban municipal community in Armenia within the Kotayk Province. It is located northeast of Yerevan and southeast of the province centre Hrazdan. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town is 43,495, down from 59,000 reported at the 1989 census. Currently, the town has an approximate population of 44,900 as per the 2020 official estimate. Avan District
Avan ( hy, Ավան վարչական շրջան, Avan varčakan šrĵan) is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Originally an ancient village on a hill at the northeastern outskirts of Yerevan, Avan has been inhabited since pre-Christian times. In the 20th century, during the Soviet rule, the village was incorporated into the capital Yerevan. According to the 2011 census, Avan has a population of 53,231. Avan is home to the oldest preserved church in Yerevan, the Katoghike Tsiranavor Church, which dates back to the late 6th century. Kentron District
Kentron ( hy, Կենտրոն վարչական շրջան, translit=Kentron varčakan šrĵan), is one of the Districts of Yerevan, 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It comprises the downtown, the commercial centre of the city. As of the 2011 census, the district has a population of 125,453. Shengavit ( hy, Շենգավիթ վարչական շրջան, ''Šengavit' varčakan šrĵan''), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, located at the southwestern part of the city.
