2023–24 Armenian Cup
The 2023–24 Armenian Cup was the 33rd edition of the Association football, football competition in Armenia. The winners qualified for the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League#Second qualifying round, 2024–25 UEFA Conference League second qualifying round. FC Ararat-Armenia, Ararat-Armenia won the cup on 12 May 2024 (their first Armenian Cup win), defeating FC Urartu, Urartu 5–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw. Teams First round On 7 July 2023, the Football Federation of Armenia announced the draw for the first round. Second round On 23 October 2023, the Football Federation of Armenia announced the draw for the second round. Quarter-finals On 12 January 2024, the Football Federation of Armenia announced the draw for the quarter-finals. Semi–finals On 13 March 2024, the Football Federation of Armenia announced the draw for the semi-finals. Football Club Urartu ( hy, Ուրարտու Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ, translated ''Futbolayin Akumb Urartu''), commonly known as Urartu, is an Armenian professional football team based in the capital Yerevan that currently plays in the Armenian Premier League. The club won the Armenian Cup three times, in 1992, 2007 and 2016. In 2013–2014, they won the Armenian Premier League for the first time in their history. In early 2016, the Russia-based Armenian businessman Dzhevan Cheloyants became a co-owner of the club after purchasing the major part of the club shares. The club was known as FC Banants until 1 August 2019, when it was officially renamed FC Urartu.
